Pilates for Performers is a Pilates teacher training program for performing artists at any stage in their career.
PFP helps performers secure stable jobs as Pilates instructors so they can earn a living wage while they pursue their craft; develop a more refined sense of strength, balance and control; perform injury-free; and establish dynamic, enduring careers.
Founders Barbara Hoon and Alison Johnson offer a comprehensive training program that is both affordable and practical.
Pilates for Performers (PFP) is a non-profit founded by long-time master Pilates teachers Barbara Hoon and Alison Johnson. PFP offers a comprehensive Pilates teacher training program for performers so they can apply their unique understanding of movement to the principles of Pilates. PFP supports performers as they learn the practical skills of Pilates instruction, allowing them to build a sustainable living and share their gift of movement with the public.
Alison and Barbara wanted a powerful, bold brand that highlights the muscularity and grace inherent in Pilates and professional dance. The campaign captures bodies in motion in black and white with rich jewel tone highlights. The dynamic photography contrasts with a modern, clean sans-serif font. The brand introduces a college effect highlighting the interplay between the energy of performance and the caesura of breath.
